Parents Information

We look forward to welcoming your son as a Talmid for the upcoming year and hope that he will have a spiritually uplifting experience and take advantage of all that learning Torah in Eretz Yisroel and the Yeshiva has to offer.

There are a number of points that we wish to bring to your attention:

The Zmanim in the Yeshivah are as follows:

  • Sunday 3 Ellul –until after Yom Kippur (Aug.23 – Sept. 29)
  •    Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan – 20 Adar  (Monday Oct. 19 – Mar. 4)
  • Rosh Chodesh Iyar – until 24 Tammuz  (Tuesday Apr. 13  – Sunday          July 4)
  • Bochurim will not be allowed to travel home during Chanukah.
  • Please note that the dormitory is closed during the Pesach vacation.

We ask that you arrange your son’s tickets in accordance with the above dates. Should your son need to travel on dates other than the above, he must receive permission from the Hanhalah before booking his ticket.  Besides the disruption in his learning, please be aware that the Yeshivah loses government funding if these dates are not adhered to.

Due to the COVID-19 your son will need an entry permit issued by the Israeli government. This is done through the Yeshiva and a copy of his passport is needed.  Your son will need to bring the entry permit with him as well as his original birth certificate. The permit is valid for two weeks only so when you have flight information please let us know the details.

If anyone has tested positive for antibodies against COVID-19, he should bring with him his medical records including the test showing he had the virus and the test showing that he has tested negative, in which case he may not need to be in isolation. In any event, the recommendation is that before coming each Talmid should test for antibodies.

Immediately upon arrival in Israel, your son will have to take a taxi to the Yeshiva

and not use public transportation or a Sherut. He can share a taxi with others in the

Yeshiva.

Upon arrival he will be in isolation in a dormitory room. The room has a private bathroom and the rest of his needs, food, laundry etc. will be taken care of by the Hanholoh. After isolation, each Talmid will be part of a larger group in the Yeshiva.  When meeting anyone outside the group or outside the Yeshiva, he will have to wear a mask, practice social distancing and hygiene.

The Bochurim must adhere to all the rules. Any infringement of these can potentially

cause the Yeshiva to lose their status as an approved institution. Should the Bochur violate the rules, he will be fined $1500 which will be used to pay for his return airplane ticket that same day.

We consider it important to work together in achieving the best for your son.

Feel free to stay in contact by phone or otherwise. Any input you have is

valued.

stringent. We will be monitoring this and hoping to give your sons the utmost

inspiration and experience of being in Eretz Yisroel and in the Yeshivah.
